  • Disaster Relief at First Baptist Jonesboro partners with Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief to compassionately respond to communities and families affected by crisis. In these moments of devastation, we have the opportunity and the privilege to be the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus. Staffed by credentialed, generous volunteers, this ministry offers tangible hope by meeting practical needs—restoring dignity, sharing the love of Christ, and reminding the brokenhearted that they are not forgotten.   • The Pregnancy Care Center is a locally organized and funded non-profit ministry that provides compassionate support to women and men faced with difficult pregnancy decisions. We are committed to meeting the needs of the whole person. Each individual who seeks our help has physical, emotional and spiritual need. We minister to them with sensitivity. The good news of salvation is shared as the Lord gives volunteers the opportunity through their relationship with women and families who call or come in for help.   • Calvary Refuge, Inc. is a faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to being the hands and feet of Christ to those experiencing homelessness. Our mission is rooted in the belief that every person is created in God’s image, worthy of dignity, compassion, and hope. We strive to provide a safe place of refuge where individuals and families can experience God’s love in both word and action. Clients are provided with 21 day housing, case management, hygiene kits, Marta passes, clothing, over the counter medication, three meals per-day, employment and housing resources. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided by local churches and other organizations.

  • Celebrating its 6th year, the OneWay Ministry holds Friday night meetings weekly. . Through this ministry, many individuals encounter Jesus and experience freedom from strongholds in their lives. Numerous people have joined the church and were baptized as a result. Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited to expand and plan to launch two new OneWay ministries in other churches, continuing to share the hope and transformation found in Christ. 

  • Read Georgia is a program designed for churches to partner with local schools to work one-on-one with third-grade children to develop their literacy skills. Georgia regularly sits in the middle of the 50 States in childhood literacy statistics. Churches all over Georgia are addressing one of our most desperate needs and greatest opportunities.   • The Food Pantry faithfully serves families in the community, providing them with at least one full week’s worth of groceries. Beyond meeting physical needs, the Gospel is lovingly shared with every family, planting seeds of hope and transformation. Additional support, including clothing, Bibles, and assistance with benevolent needs, are also provided as needed. This ministry has had a powerful spiritual impact—many individuals who came through the pantry visit the church, commit their lives to Christ, and  become members. The Food Pantry continues to be a vital outreach, demonstrating Christ’s love through both word and action.

  • FBCJ and Iglesia Bautista Victoria en Cristo offer Free ESL classes to the community of Jonesboro on Tuesdays at 6:30pm. We are always looking for volunteers to simply speak in English and have conversations with our students!

  • The Macedonia Call and The Righteous Rides seeks to support the mission of the gospel by supplying missionaries with vehicles while they return to the US and their home churches during their respites. Offering free vehicle usage of fully serviced vehicles during their extended stays, this ministry allows for missionaries to easily travel around to sister churches and share what God has been doing on the mission field. This ministry needs help with driving the vehicles to and from locations and assisting with pickup and drop offs.

  • The warehouse serves multiple purposes for various ministries, including food distribution for homeless children in Clayton County and vehicle servicing for missionaries through the Macedonia Call Ministry. 

North American Partnerships

    Reservation life is extremely challenging.  A good ministry continues presenting the Gospel and giving special consideration to adult discipleship, children’s ministry and addiction recovery.

  • Calgary, Alberta

    Rafael and Sarah Araujo relocated to Calgary to begin Junction Church. The work has begun well. Meetings are already occurring.

  • St. John, Newfoundland

    Matt and Ruth Lahey

    On December 12, 2023, the St. John’s City Council unanimously approved the new zoning of the building. Renovation is completed. The church began worshipping in their new building January 14, 2024.

  • Cincinnati, Ohio

    Pastor Amer continues to baptize Moslem-background believers and plant new outreach Bible studies in the Midwest of America.

    This is a great example of a church that was in desperate condition but has been restored. Space is now an issue. Baptisms are regularly occurring.

    Cameron and Christa Moore

    After spending a year in our residency program, the Moores moved to Nanaimo in September 2024 to begin a church. The process is well underway as Cam and Christa are quickly becoming part of that community.

International Partnerships

  • We have two strategic planting partnerships in two countries in South Asia.  God is moving miraculously and many churches are being formed from hundreds of people each year who accept Christ.

  • We are strategically working with a significant network of Christian leaders to reach people and start churches among many ethnic groups including Turkish, Afghani, Persian (Iranian), and Iraqi.  We, also, partner to reach out to international students from several countries in Central Asia while they are involved in their university studies.

  • We began and continue to operate a school, grades K-7, in Liancourt, Haiti.  The school has over 100 students who meet on our campus.  The unsettled political situation causes regular disruptions and dangers for parents and children alike.

  • We have been actively involved with multiple teams and multiple trips to Ukraine since the beginning of the war.  We have church plants in several regions of the country as well as ministry to internally displaced people.

  • Our partnership in Cuba is into its third decade.  Through special dispensation with both governments, we are involved in evangelism, leadership development and church planting in Santiago de Cuba and Matanzas. Thousands of people have been saved and hundreds of churches started through these 25+ years.

  • A strong relationship with the Biblical Alliance churches of the D.R. allows us to do children’s ministry, marriage/family ministry, evangelism, medical and leadership development.

  • Using our medical teams, we are penetrating the Tolupanes people located deep in the interior mountains. Disciples are being made and the Gospel is being preached.

  • A multi-year strategy to begin a church in Cerro de Oro on the shores of Lake Atitlan and other Mayan towns of the central mountain region has been enhanced through construction, women’s ministry, children’s ministry and other social projects.  A vibrant church now exists that will be a hub for more churches.

  • This ministry concentrates on leadership develop among the Kuna and Ngle Bugle native peoples as well as the Latin population.  Construction teams often follow church planters in interior villages and islands where the Gospel is preached.

  • Church planting is the primary expression of a ministry in Canada.  Churches have been started in Pincher Creek, Calgary, Vancouver, Victoria, Toronto, St. John’s, Happy Valley/Goose Bay (more than one in many of these cities) and a church planting team leaves Jonesboro in 2024 to plant a church in Nanaimo.

  • A very close relationship with our partner in Melbourne allowed us to send a member of our pastoral staff to serve as senior pastor.  Together, we are ministering among an unreached people group in Vietnam.

  • Although we have partners in several towns in Liberia, we concentrate most of our ministry in Grand Cape Mount County.  Our medical ministry is very important in allow us to reach into Vai villages that are traditional Muslim.  More than 100 churches now exist among these people.  We, also, are involved in orphanage and K-11 education.  Leadership development is a key component to the ongoing expansion of the Gospel.
